ipod for the 2007 G35 Sedan with nav

I found some ipod interfaces for the 07 g35 sedan, but they all look like they don't work if you have the built in navigation system. I tried searching google extensively and this forum, but I seem to be finding everything EXCEPT for the 07 with the nav... Take my google points away!

Has anyone found anything that works? It seems to me the 07 and 08 g35's are exactly the same radio except for the addition of the ipod connector and cable on the 08. Was this some sort of software upgrade to the factory stereo and an auxillary cable, or is there a hardware difference between the stereos?

Just curious if ANYONE has been able to get the ipod going on the 07's? I would like to be able to change tracks via my steering wheel as well as being able to see information on the vehicle display if possible.

I can't change tracks through the steering wheel nor can I see what is playing. But you can obviously change it through the iPod. I honestly don't think it's a big deal to have the song and stuff show up on the screen. I just bought an AV Cable off ebay. I got it from this seller.

$4.25 + free shipping you can't beat.

If you have an iPhone, you can use Pandora or ShoutCast to stream the music through the Aux port in the glove box. I do not have the nav setup, but my iPhone works like a champ! Just plus the phone into the A/V using my Monster cable, and she is good to go. Just a thought.

There is a factory installation kit that overrides your XM Satellite. Let me caution you however if you plan on keeping XM. If you get the kit AND you have navigation than you will NOT be able to use XM and your IPOD. It's one or the other. So if you get the kit don't expect your XM radio to work anymore.

Thanks for the info. Were you able to test out the controls when you had it? Does the touch screen and steering wheel buttons work? I have XM but don't listen to it so wouldn't mind the trade off. I can use CF cards but would prefer the larger capacity of an ipod.

Yes everything was pretty decent. Terrible controls though (no steering wheel control except volume). I'm really thinking about getting this: http://www.buy.com/prod/kensington-l...206684059.html. That way you can control Ipod Touch (or ANY Cell Phone) and play it. The remote will control it or you can manually control it via the Ipod (but it doesn't have to be connected to anything). I'm taking the plunge and buying it today. I'll write a review up once I get it.

Oh yea if you don't have a 2nd Gen IPod Touch (that has built in bluetooth) never fear buy this:

The OP has an 07 Sedan WITH Nav. The Nissan unit from EverythingG35.com will not work if you have OEM Nav.
"Will this work with all model G35's?
– No, this model does not work with early 2003 G35 Sedans (production date before 09/02) as they are not satellite capable and 2007+ G35 Sedans that are equipped with Navigation and XM's Navtraffic. "

For the record, I have the same unit installed and it works great. (no Nav)

It will work with Nav, however you lose XM completely when you do this. (notice the 2007+ G35 Sedans that are equipped with Navigation and XM's Navtraffic.)

PA15-INF v2

I also have the 07 G35x Sedan with Bose/Sat & Nav and I would like to add an ipod interface. It seems there is a new version to the PA15-NIS and INF called v2 that might work. I check back every couple of months and see that there have been upgrades that should work. I haven't tried it but I plan to. Has anyone else tried it?

Hey guys, Im a new user here. I drive an 07 g35x and have a few questions. I do NOT have Nav. How do I go about getting Nav in my car? Secondly, I use the RCA cables to play video while my e-brake is on (cant play video while driving).. Do I need to have NAV in my car to be able to bypass the video safety control? Or can I bypass this without having NAV? Thanks very much!
