Really dumb question here, but i cant find it in the manual..2008 g35x non-nav

Im using the aux with ipod touch, why cant it display the video?, even in park it says "play will resume when vehicle stops" Audio plays fine

My question is... how do i display ANY video over aux? Im about to do the motion bypass anyway, but if that wont work what will?

Im also thinking of using the method for a garmin after market gps, to be stowed in the console, but trying to dispay the gps over the aux input...

In addition to being in park, your parking brake has to be engaged.

 

Also, on an iPod you have to switch it to TV out; not sure on an iTouch or iPhone (haven't tried it with mine).

 

I working on it as we speak, The e brake obviously was the first prob, now i just have a blank screen...I have it hooked up with a component cable from ebay, it outputs audio great, but now just getting the blank screen...

 

I found that non-OEM cables don't play well with iTouch or iPhone... I have 1st gen iPod touch and Iphone 2g & had to get rid of my non-OEM eBayed cable for that reason (would play audio but not display video) and get an Apple composite cable which seems to work fine showing video. Get an Apple composite cable from a store and give it a try. I do have the bypass BTW - but it worked before the bypass as well when the car was in park.

 

so with the apple cable, i can see the ipod screen from the iphone on my dash but only in park?

 

Without bypass, pretty much.
