A/V tech questions on 08 G35 Sedan

hey guys,

I have the premium package + nav in my 08 G35 sedan and was wondering:

1. how can i stream from my iphone via bluetooth to my car. is this even possible?

2. is it possible to watch movies from my iphone on the nav screen.

3. is it me or does the bose system not sound very loud even when maxed out?

TIA

1. No
2. Not that I know of.
3. It's plenty loud enough for me. A simple way of making the radio louder is installed grounding wires that improves the grounding the car. I have Black Betty grounding wires.

1. Nope, I dont think our G's bluetooth support A2DP capability (hmm when I play "memo's" it is streamed thru the speakers)
2. yep when it's in park or you install the override
3. I just noticed that after driving in my friend's Mazda 3 with the Bose setup.

Thanks guys.

I noticed in the trunk there is a DVD player put it looks empty. Is there some hardware that is supposed to go in there? There's a big hole where it looks like something should go right above the EJECT button.

The 6 CD changer isn't in the dash? It looks like something is supposed to go in the slot (about 2" high x about 4" wide). Looks like a CDROM would fit in there or something. Any ideas???

Just an FYI don't ask about bypassing video while moving, it's a banned topic on the forums and the mods will lock the thread.

So there's no way we can watch movies WHILE IN PARK, in our 2008 G35????? Anyhelp will be appreciated.

And No I don't care or want to know how to bypass video, I don't want to die in an accident while driving and watching "Fight Club".

With Navi you get the 6 disc cd changer in the trunk and the single cd player in the dash.

Without the navi you get the 6 disc changer in the dash.

Navi was HDD for 08.

You can use your ipod for videos or conect any other device with the component cable(Red/White/Yellow) in the center console.

Not sure on the '08, but on the '07 just put the tranny in park, choose Aux input on the screen and hook up your video player through the composite inputs inside the center console.

Yes, as PuruitofG said, you can watch movies, while in Park.

Just put your car in park, pull the e-brake, plug your Iphone or whatever into the center console, and hit AUX on your stereo.

Done, done, and done.
