Do our cars have reverse polarity?
Do our cars have reverse polarity?
Hey guys. I am about to install some HID fog lights, and I might need to install a BOW - I wanted to see if anyone knew if our cars run reverse polarity? I am asking because if I hook up the BOW wrong it could explode
.
Thanks for any help.

The last car I had that ran a positive ground was a 1965 MGB. Had to mount my 8 tract/FM player on a block of wood to keep it from shorting out.
Funny thing though, it really IS the correct way to do it as electrons really do run from the negative pole to the positive.

True, most people don't know that lightning strikes from the ground (-) to the clouds (+).

Yeah - thanks for the input guys.
Never had to deal with discerning the polarity before because I obviously haven't worked on electronics at all. And who would have thought I would also learn about the earth we live in - makes sense that lightning strikes the ground if the earth is (-). Knowing is half the battle....
