did you hold it down to long to dis-engage the control??? I did that once. So you have to either hold it up all the way for like 10 seconds or hold it down for 10 seconds.

SSSSEEEEEAAAAARRRRRCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH....

Roll the window down, and continue holding the switch down for another five seconds. Then roll the window up and continue holding the switch up for another five seconds.

Voila, you've now learned TWO valuable things...

I have a 2008 G35x and happened to have the same problem but thought it was much worse about a month ago. I left my house in the morning to go to work, it was very cold outside and put my windows down to air out my car after smoking a cig. My front passenger window got stuck half way down and it would not go up or down. It was 11 degrees that morning so I was really upset and was ready to drive straight to my dealer. I waited 15 minutes then tried again and the window would go up and down but manually, the auto-roll up or down no longer worked.

I took my car to the dealer last week for my 45,000 mile service and informed him of the warranty work regarding the auto roll feature not working. He said it's not the motor, it just needs a reset. When I picked the car back up the auto roll now works fine.
