AUX input, press AUX and change VIDEO without changing AUDIO?

AUX input, press AUX and change VIDEO without changing AUDIO?
What I am looking to do is press the AUX button and be able to change the image on the screen to the RCA (looking to add a nav unit), but NOT change the audio source. So for example, I am listening to a CD and want to press the AUX button so the screen changes to NAV without loosing the sound.
Has anyone done that? Is it even possible?
I know, I know, do a search.... I did, no dice.
