I'm not sure how much traffic this section gets, but I'll try anyway. I just got an '08 G35xS with navi. I'm looking to put as many mp3s on the music box as possible as cheaply/easily as possible. I understand that it only rips audio CDs. My question is, will it read audio CDs burned to CD-RWs?

Also, I've noticed that some of the newer CDs I've loaded onto Music Box aren't recognized by Gracenote. It's a royal pain in the a$$ to correct these manually. Is there a way to update Gracenote or make this process any easier?

if u go into settings for your music box u can disable the auto music info download.

 

If you do this then what does it label the artist/album/tracks as? Wouldn't I still have to go through and manually label everything?

 

it might read the stored tag ur files have on ur cd-rw if u burn them with the id3 tags

 

there's a way to update gracenote. It's a little time consuming, but easier than typing everything in.
