the Revolt cable was an incredible find...i would pay for it even if it cost 40 or 50 bucks just because it does everything i need to do like charges and integrates, and its all one cable thats long enough to place anywhere you want. +1 to you my friend.

Sorry to bring up an old thread...

I have been looking for the possible solutions to extend the iPod/iphone cable from Infiniti and just came across this thread. Great information by the OP.

Since the Scosche PassPort basically just re-routes the pins, it seems it would be possible to take the original Infiniti cable, cut it, add an extension cable in the middle BUT do the re-routing of the wires at that point. This solution would seem to eliminate most, if not all, of the noise interference that some people have experienced with different cables and adapters. The only hard part would be finding a schematic of the infiniti cable to to figure out what wire goes to what pin.

Has anyone tried this approach before?

Holy thread ressurection Batman

I just traded in my 03 g35 for an 09 Fx and did some researching and it seems that this cable is the one I need to hook up in my ride. Do any of you guys know if this is the cable I need? I've already bookmarked this thread because of the extension as well. Great find OP.

I have had the stock cable cut and extended before. I did not reassign any pins, just a straight extension. It worked, but it was pretty ugly (and before I found the ReVolt cable, which seems to be a more elegant solution).
