Has anyone cut a hole in their center console area where they RCA inputs are to run a cable to the front? If so... Any suggestions/pictures on the best way to do it?

I just bought a 2007 G35 6MT and I'm planning on putting a proclip for my iPhone on the right side of the stereo. I'd like to run the cable from the RCA AV connectors to the front, by hopefully going out the bottom or side of the center console. Then running the cable underneath the whole center console area. Any help, ideas or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Super easy project. I have a hole inside my center console for my RCAs (audio for my phone and video for my backup camera) All I did was drill a hole in the back of the console under the vent for the air conditioning (watch out for the ac tubing inside). ran the wires out and down along the center console.

^ it would be even easier since you dont have to worry about ac tubing in the area since MTs dont have them in that area, have them underneath the front seats instead

yeah i've drilled holes for my ipod adapters before. if you have a dremmel tool you can make a nice clean cut also.

if you don't want to run it under the carpet you can run it in the door sills along the side, then under the seat and under the console up through the hole. that might work out well for you.
