Cool AUX Input - Analog to Digital Conversion

Vehicle & Options:
-2007 G35x Sedan, No-Nav

Work Done:
-Parking brake and VSS by-pass to allow AUX video while driving

Wishful Thinking:
-Solder & wire Component Video leads from existing control unit (for a lack of better terminology) to the center console. The aim is to display a cleaner digital video signal on the AUX channel. I realize that I am no electrical engineer / Video encoding expert, so let me know if I'm being unrealistic.

In Closing:
-Thanks for reading my post! Please feel free to respond simply with interest in the project or other cool & recommended DIY Mod projects.

you can display component video on the screen but you would have to convert it to RGB (remember, component video is not exactly the same thing) then you'd have to just tap into the RGB inputs (which is easy). so first things first is to get a converter, then you can install a switching relay and the YPbPr jacks in the console.

The converter itself is expensive...it could range from $80+ easily.

it can be expensive, you can also comb ebay for deals, sometimes they pop up cheap. also check craigslist, buy.com, etc.
