hey guys i got an 07 g35x non bose and i just installed a small system for some bass

i put in a 10" kicker cvt will 800 watt amp
i used an LOC from best buy and tapped into the rear speakers and ran the remote wire to some acc powered wire near the fuse box.
and grounded it to the from behind the carpet in the trunk

My issue is when the music is completely off the bass still rumbles a little. also ii can hear all my electronics through the car which ive never heard before. Example if my blinker is on i can hear the faint bump each time the blinker blinks. Or when i roll up my window i can hear it a little through my sub? also when i first start up my car and music is off and go over a bump ill hear the sub bump a couple of mild bumps and then stop
I know it sounds nuts but i hope some electrical magician would know the issue because im lost
Please if anyone has any advice please help

Sounds like ...

the sub amp is not on switched power (ie. it's on all the time), the gain is set really high, and it's possibly picking up noise in either the power line, or it's poorly grounded. But that's just a guess.

 

Almost sounds like your input wires are too close to the power cable & remote wire. I always make sure to install the sound input wires...usually RCA's down their own separate side of the car opposite the power/remote.

 

Thanks a lot for the response guys feel like people don't care too much for the newbs but I appreciate it and I ran the power and RCA right on top of each other so I'll try switching sides and grounding it better than I'll post update but the gain is only set about half way? So don't think that's the issue and how would it be getting constant power if I tapped into an acc wire?

Sorry, just re-read your original post. I had thought you said you had a rumble when the car was off, but it was when the music was off. Is the remote trigger signal possibly on when the music source is intended to be off (ie. the sub amp shouldn't be receiving signal to turn on) ?

 

ok guys so i finally given up.

i rewired everything so rcas are on one side and power wire and remote wire are on the other side. i rewired the ground and after all that.....my sub still thumps midly when music is off....also still my electronics still play thorugh my sub (ex. my blinker, windows, and actual engine idle.)

i love my bass and need a sub BUT cant stand these noises...idk what else to do..please help

P.S i was using the search and came over a post with someone trying to intall also in a non bose unit....the fsm says the rear speakers + and - is P..L....SB....LG

since the only colors i have in my harness are Pink, Light Green, Sky Blue, Green, Black, and Purple.

i took it as P=pink..... SB= black.....L = sky blue......LG= light greeen

any help PLEASEEEE!!!!!

 

nvm guys ending up taking out head unit and wiring LOC from behind and wired everything up and everything is good

shouldnt u have assumed that sb stands for sky blue? lol
