Hi all, new member here!

Just got a 07 V36 Skyline which for the most part is identical to the 07 Infiniti G35. Unfortunately, since New Zealand didn't get either cars delivered, the Skyline is a Japanese import and as such as Japanese buttons and interface.

To resolve the buttons, since they look identical I thought I could get the button cluster from a G35 and plug it in, but does anyone know if these are interchangeable between the two cars? I'm guessing it's going to depend if the computer system that the buttons are interacting with is part of the actual button cluster assembly.

Ideally I'd like to replace the onscreen interface too, which is all in Japanese, but I suspect that part won't be so easy due to differences in on board features. I have a Skyline GT-Four which appears to be on the lower end of the package features (no Bluetooth, no nav, no steering wheel controls, etc)

 

Cant the dealership compare the VIn numbers and see if it is possible?

 

I suppose I could try that, but not sure if they'll be able to help much. Neither the Infiniti or the Skyline are sold new in New Zealand (Infiniti hasn't yet been launched here).
