Phone mirroring on 07 G35 w/out nav

Hi guys,

I have been searching and googling a lot but still haven't found a solution for easy phone mirroring on 07 G35 without factory navigation. I would like to mirror my phone on the car LCD so that I can run google map and play some youtube video. Let's not talk about the e-brake bypass yet. I want to go small first to get the LCD to display what is on my phone. I tried connect my samsung S9 to RCA adapter through HDMI cable but all I got is sound. Does anyone know how if the AUX on non-nav G35 will even play video or they are just there for stereo?

Thanks,

Your mom's boyfriend
The AUX plays video. I use it for my OEM backup cam in my non-nav g35x.
I didn't bother trying to convert a digital signal from a tablet or phone to RCA.
Quality would be too sh:t so I just put a new screen in.
The factory screen is not touchscreen - How are you going to control it
But if you do get this to work, good luck trying to figure this out.

Thank you for your reply. However, I don't want to add another screen to the car. If I have to, I would just replace the LCD unit with an aftermarket HD display.

I finally got video output on the LCD but the quality is horrible. I saw some videos on youtube where people have much better video quality on similar RCA setup. I wonder is that because of my Samsung S9 phone compare to the lower end phones?

I'm using a QGeeM USB Type-C to HDMI adapter (from Amazon) and a WavLink HDMI to RCA adapter from the local electronics store with my Galaxy S8. Works decently well, I run the App that 909 runs on his tablet, it's called Car Launcher Agama. it allows me to run Pandora in the background and keep the "Home Screen". Only downside is I currently use a small USB mouse to control it, I need to figure out some sort of touchpad to use.

I would check with these guys if your radio will be compatible. Looks the same to me...
