I spoke to the dealer they said this is normal and its just the brake dust building up and also has to do with the heat. The dealer said to just spray the brakes with water from a hose or brake cleaner to get rid of the build up.

I have a hard time accepting that because my previous RSX and TL did not squeak this badly!

A small whine is acceptable... I think the sound most people are talking about is really not normal.
It's sound a worn pad makes to get your attention. Metal on metal SQUEAL.

You need to check your pads....mine started doing it at 20mph until i stopped and did it for about 2 weeks straight. So i took off my rims and pulled off the calipers to come and find out that my brake pads had less then a dime thickness of pad left. My car has 25000 miles on it.

Brake squeal

I'm in the club at 6,200 miles. May have been happening sooner, but didn't hear it due to the radio.

Still love the car, but I am starting to develop nice little list for the next service:

Front right brake squeal.
Sunroof shade fix.
Driver door weather stripping fix.

They replaced all my pads and turned the rotors...
still have the front break squeal.

No tech bulletins on this yet, but the service guy said it sounds like the '03/'04 problem.

So... did that fix the problem? I took my car to the dealer and they said it was fine. It's not fine. The sound is still there.

I am in the same boat. My breaks squeal under soft breaking from 40mph. It usually takes about a second from the moment I push the break until the sound builds up. Something warms up? If I break harder there is no squealing.

I have been having issues with very loud brake squeal while slowing down since I hit 3000 miles. I took it into the dealer and nothing wrong was found.

I decided to try this out when I washed my car this past weekend. I just took a hose and shot water on the brakes and the squeal has not been back for 5 days so far. It's so nice to have quiet brakes again.

i have 7000 miles and my breaks only squeal when the rims are full of break dust or they are dry and hot...if you wet the rims it will stop until it dries up again..its a problem g35's have because the dealer told me that was a normal thing everyone complains about. but they should solve it!!!
