Replacement tire for G35S

My front tires wears in the inside and the rear ones just got to the safety marker so I need to find replacements. It is hard to find 225/50/18 and only the Bridgestone 050 got that size and wears quickly.

My questions:

1. Can I use 225/45/18 in front?
2. Dunlop sportmax, Goodyear GS D3, Falken FK452, Kumho SPT, michelin pilot sport2, which one??

I drive fast always on this car and stopping distance and wet traction is important.

Thanks in advance.

sadly, ive seen 1 alternative and if i wanted a new tire for my car, id have to get new rims lol.

ive been looking up and down for all seasons that rate well in snow and rain seeing as how weather conditions in NY range everywhere through out the course of the year, these summer tires just will not cut the cheese come november december. they sell winter tires, blizzaks for our cars, 150 a piece at tire rack, that was also my other alternative to not getting new rims and all seasons.

Why don't you go with 235/50/18? It will fit on a 7 1/2" size rim. The Goodyear F1 GS-D3 is a good choice for wet traction.

well if you go 235/50/18 and 245/45/18 contiextremecontact are only about 148 bucks a tire which is a lot cheaper than the ~200 bucks a tire for the potenza's. Also with a treadwear rating for 400, which will hopefully last us longer than these potenza's

I've searched for threads on this - think I found them either here, or in the wheels/tires section. Yes, you can go with a diff size on the front, and there are a lot more selections as others have said.

245/45R18 should work better on the front than 225/45R18. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

goodyear eagle f1 all season has the stock front and rear sizes.

First let me thank you all for your replys!!

I found this combo to be near identical:

235/50/18 F 245/45/18 R
1. Toyo T1R
2. Goodyear F1 GS-D3

235/45/18 F 245/45/18 R
1. Kuhmo Ecsta SPT - ( I have previous experience with this tire on my Acura TSX and is very good)

235/50 will be bigger and slower than 235/45.

Opinions please, thanks

It looks like 245/45/18 F and 255/45/18 R is a good choice.
I found that Goodyear F1 GS D3 and Falken FK452 seems similar with only price difference.
Any issue with rubbing in fronts?

Thanks

You have lots of room up front I was running 255/40/18 all around, now I am running 245/45/18 all around and this was on 8.5" rims with a 42mm offset
