questions about rims and drop

what would be a correct procedure be to drop the G. and how much would it rougly cost around including installation ? im getting really confused when people post up all the numbers that i dont understand ?

i currently have the factory 17 inches and would really want a drop cus i just think its a bit too high . if i plan on getting 18's, 19's or different rims i wouldnt think that i would just be able to slap them on .

would it always be rims first then a drop to complete a succesful look ?

any comments or suggestions or opinions appreciated

For a start, the OD (outside diameter) of your tires remain the same so your speedometer is not affected. Therefore 17, 18, 19, and even 20" wheel and tire combinations should ldieally be the same.

Sorry to sound like a I'm not being helpful but you'll need to do a little homework first ... try to do a search and learn about Camber and Offset next. Finally, learn a little about how tire size designations work (eg. what does 275/30/20 mean?).

It would take quite a while if I were to write everything down here. Please be sure to ask questions after you do your homework though and you'll get an answer!
