Rotating tires on a G with performance package

Is it possible? I was at the dealer for oil change and I have just reached 7500 miles. The guy asked me if I want the tires rotated and I told him I have the performance package. He said they still can do it. I just told him no thinking he was just trying to sell stuff I don't need.

Its 8 front and 8.5 rear, so no.

You would have to un-mount the tires and re-mount them to rotate them.

do you have the 18's or 19's??

I also belive the 18's are staggered, but I know for a fact the 19's are..

I believe the sedan only has the option of 18s. Here is what it says from the Infiniti website:

Performance Tire and Wheel Package

* - G35 Journey: Split 7-spoke 18 x 7.5-inch (front), 18 x 8.5-inch (rear) aluminum-alloy wheels. 225/50R18 (front), 245/45R18 (rear) W-rated summer performance tires

I believe he said he would unmount them and mount them back. Even then, how would the tires fit when they are different sizes?

It would work, but you can only go front-to-front, and back-to-back.

I need to do this to my front tires soon because of the tire feathering.

The tires don't need to be unmounted, but you can only switch form side to side, it should help lengthen the life a bit, but not as much as a full four tire rotation would. If you'll notice the Potenzas have OUTSIDE printed on the tires, so as long as you keep the Outside to the Outside you'll be fine, but since the tires & wheels are different sizes you can only go side to side

the wheels are staggered, and I thought the tires are directional. So you couldn't even do side-to-side.

I don't know what the stock tires are, but staggered and directional can have limited rotation. You have to unmount the tires then mount and balance them on the other side of the car. Obviously not front to back.

Take a look at your tire. Unless you don't have the RE050As.
Here's the tirerack photo:

Note there's no directional arrow indicating a directional tire. There is the nice little "outside" printed on it though, so you can swap side to side.

X2
Folks confuse directional w/ outside bias tires, big difference. ALL directional tires have an arrow in the direction of forward travel, outside bias tires have Outside only printed on the side that needs to be mounted to the outside of the wheel, and these outside bias tires CAN be switched to the other side. Obviously the staggered wheel sizes limit the backs to the backs and the front to the fronts, but they CAN be partially rotated.
