It also depends on the wheel (how thick is the wheel under the nut) and nut. Technically speaking, you really want to know how much thread engagement there is and what the thread material is.

I've run 4mm on mine using rays nuts up to 100 ft-lbs torque.

i'm just thinking out loud, but i 'think' it should be fine, 5mm is really small, you can always get the spacers and see how much thread is left on the bolt, then buy aftermarket nut if need be, if that doesn't work either, buy extended studs...

It depends on how many turns you can still get with your lug nuts. It also depends on your power level. In general I think you can run a 5mm spacer and be ok.

My brakes have thicker hats and acted like a spacer on my car. I lost a few turns on the lugs so I changed out my studs to the 50mm nismo ones. They are not too expensive and good peace of mind.

You should get about 8 turns, any less & there's potential for trouble.

Get a longer studs with any kind of spacer.

You messing with wheels. You would not want them to fall off on you when you on the freeway do you?

studs are not that expensive. Dont hesitate, get them. Better be safe then sorry.

I put them on the front of my sedan. Factoy makeup is 9.5 turns. With the 5mm spacers, it was 6.5 turns. Not something I felt good about, so I put in the extended studs that came with the kit.

the pics you posted, are they with the 5mm spacers. Did you end up putting them up in the front only or all around?
Thx!
