I heard the same as you but I found these sizes on one of the companies on-line, can't remember which one and too tired to search, I can check tom. Plus according to the sizes above the Stillen seem smaller than the G35 Sports sway bars so they could be the same as the Journey but I don't know what the Journey diameters are.

diameters are not what it's always about. the strength and type of the steel has some to do with it, some sway bars are hollow where others are solid... that can be a difference. there's always more to it than just plain diameter.

I'd suggest you wait...

I know... you've been waiting forever... and so did I...

But hey, good things happen to ones who wait... right?

I personally like the feel of my sport sway bar. I had an aftermarket thicker bar for my maxima and there was significant oversteer and tightness. For my grand cherokee, there was orginally significant understeer, I put in the SRT stock sway bar and it now feels neutral. So aftermarket is not always superior. I guess it depends on how much oversteer and roll stiffness you want.

I'm basing my decisions on my past experience with my Audi, I simply went for slightly larger diameter sway bars from a tested and well respected company and had no complaints what so ever, some I knew went for ridiculously huge diameters compared to the OEM bars and it just made the car too unpredictable (although some people liked it) so I'm just trying to get down to what would feel best for me, currently I'm leaning toward the Stillen, but with some people not liking the feedback and others liking it I'm having a hard time deciding.

It's true diameters aren't everything, but I'm just unaware of the effects other parts would have on the feel and handling of the ride, such as material and thickness of the metal itself.

I've got some time to wait until I would really want to fit these so I don't mind seeing what others get and then base my decision on something proven and not too unpredictable.

I've thought about 2 different mods

one is the eway bars that are adjustable, the other is increasing the tire size from 225-50 18s to 245-45 18's.

I think that combo should be a substantial improvement.

Thoughts?

would I not need new alloys if I'm to increase the tire size? or are we talking about thickness of tires and not widths?

here's my unintelligent opinion on the stillen sway bar issue. one is non-adj and the other is adjustable. the stiffness of the bar directly affects the wieght transfer which directly affects handling. the bars need to be matched from front to rear and IMO, having the front adj in this case allows the user to improperly adjust the bar out of balance in turn causing questionable handling quirks.

I don't believe stillen should be selling anything adjustable, they should offer matched non-adj sway bars and that would satisfy 95 percent of the peeps on here.

nonetheless, we have what we have, so the answer again IMO is to not get greedy on the front stiffness adjustment and to keep it mild and this should allow the necessary absorption of sway before teansferring it and causing disruptions.

I haven't liked the idea of adjustable bars ever since I set eyes on them, and true it has probably caused people to adjust them incorrectly, any other decent sways other than Stillen?

my answer to those with the stillens having issues is to readjust them and see if they notice a difference.

Just wanted to add to this thread that H&R has sway bars listed on their site for the 2007 sedans....

H&R Link

Kinda wish I would've seen this and maybe gone this route over the Stillen, but that's all behind me now.... lol

Also, I'll have to measure the stock diameter and the Stillen diameter on my car, the Stillen didn't seem to be Stillen 35mm but I'll double check.
