Question Sway Bars Which Way To Go?????

Ok guys I've read all previous posts on this topic (concerning the 07+ models) Now I want to change my Sway bars because the body roll is just silly as it currently stands but need some help deciding.

Ok from what I've gathered The G35 Sport models have 26.5mm Front & 24.3mm Rear diameters. Supposedly the Journey and X models have around 15mm rear sway bar diameter (couldn't find what the front diameter was).

Now most Sports owners seem happy with their set-up (and the sizes on the S models do sound like they make a difference). Now Do I try and source the Sports OEM bars from an Infiniti dealer? or do I got for the Stillen?

The Stillen is supposedly the same diameter as the stock (Whatever Stock is, I mean is stock to them for the Journey, Sports, or X models?) but supposedly they're thicker bars which makes no sense to me, I'd rather have bigger diameter bars than thicker ones (going from past experience on other cars) and I've heard one review from a member here who didn't like the feedback the car gave when going over 100mp/h which Isn't good at all, I mean the whole point of better Sway bars is to keep the car planted and not unpredictable. So maybe thicker bars isn't the way to go.

Bottom line I need help deciding, if anyone here has the Stillen sways then please give me your feedback, and if any sport owners out there have any feedback to give me then please do so, because I am confused as hell as to which direction to go . If you have any other recommendations I'd really appreciate it.

Just an add-on question here. Will the Sport sways fit on an X? If they will, I may just order the factory Sport ones and toss them on mine, hopefully to get that planted feeling that the sport owners are raving about.

I don't know if this is an option for you ... but auto salvage yards are starting to get late model sedans. You may just want to get the bars there for cheap and try them.

Also, aren't most aftermarket bars adjustable?

well where I am currently located I don't think I have that option (no salvage yards here) and for sway bars I personally wouldn't want to take the risk of buying one that's been involved in am accident, could create some very dangerous driving conditions

Is GTspec a tuning company? I'm not very familiar with the US/Infiniti tuners

Right so I guess for now the best way to go would be to upgrade to the OEM sport sway bars as they seem to be the most convenient with least problems and current sport owners seem to be happy with it. If anyone know what the OEM diameters are on the G35 Journey please let us know, thanks.

I would get aftermarket, but everyone who's gotten them seem to have problems or get unpredictable handling, unless someone can point me to a decent set of after market sway bars with proven handling gains then I'd rather stick with something that I know has proven gains with least problems. I was going to go for the Stillen, but people who've reviewed them on here say it gives an unpredictable feel on the motorway which defies the whole point of upgrading the bars.

Right so I'v looked around to see what sizes some of the aftermarket sway bars were and this is what I found:

G35 S Oem Sway Bars
26.5mm Front
24.3mm Rear

Nismo
36mm Front
22mm Rear

Stillen
(35mm) 1 3/8” Front
(22.22mm) 7/8” Rear

Hotchicks
35mm Front
24mm Rear

Now I'm surprised that most of the front bars are soo big (compared to the G35Sports oem bars) and the rears are mostly smaller than the G35 S. Maybe this is why some people get unpredictable feedback. Would anyone with an aftermarket sway bar give us his opinion on how the handling and drive is? especially at motorway speeds (as well as spirited driving on twisty roads)??

Hmm strange! I have the Stillen Bars on my 07 G Sedan. and it makes a noticeable Diffrence! Ride wise it's just a little more Stiffer than Stock, but it makes the car feel more planted than with the Stock bars. and this is on Eibach Drop springs. And the rear bar is Adjustable. and I have that one on the stiffest setting, which I think may be 70% more stiffer than stock. And I get no wierd handling that some other have reported at higher speeds? Mine work just fine. And if these guys that said they alomost lost control or get Unpredictable handling or whatever happened.? Not sure what to say to that. But my 2 cents is that they are a great mod for the G! I don't regret buying them, and I got a good deal on them! The car handles awesome and is more stable and solid feeling at all SPEEDS!

Thanks for the feedback Mike, just out of curiosity, did you fit the sway bars & shocks at the same time? and I jut realised you have a sports model, so you'd day the Stillen bars were better than the stock Sports sway bars?

First, ppl were saying the Stillen sways were the same size as stock, and now according to this chart they are larger. Which is it? Same or Larger?
