m45 rims and tires
hey so like you guys kno i bought the m45 rims. now i was originally going to get 245/40 tires some all seasons or something. but now i kinda am thinking about still gettin all seasons but a 245/35 instead of 245/40...what do you guys think? i figured it would make the rims look a little bigger, much like the 19inch m6 rims look real dang big when on a 335, and the tires more guys run on those rims are 245/35's. tell me what you think...how do you think it will look on our sedan with 245/35's on all four wheels? thanks!
the 35 series will 'potentially' ride a tad rougher, will increase the gap between the tire and fender and be a smaller diameter than the 40 series and this could worsen your curb clearance, pothole clearance and speed bump clearance. The decision is yours to make, do you think the ride and fender gaps are going to be a noticeable difference on your car..... if not, go with the 35.
well im on 18's now. ill be moving to 19's so it will ride higher no? right now my car is low as hell, lol. and the fenders are actually covering both tires at the moment. so i dont kno you think there will be a gap if i put 35's?
this is a link to pics of my ride and how it sits right now.

ya i see what u mean. i want the car too basically look like its sitting right on the tires, with minimal fender over the tires as possible. i think ima just do a 245/40 i wish i could see what a 245/35 looks like though

look at the 6th pic down. my drop looks similar to that as in how low my car is (of course i still have stock 18s) but after i put the m45 19s i want it to look like that white g37s. the rear on those is 245/40, so i assume mine should look pretty similar, right? i know its a different car, but i think i gives me a rough idea. what do you think...is this a good comparison?

wheel/tire size question
Hey everyone.. I have a 2008 G35X and I was looking to buy the 19x8 M45 rims off of someone and I was wondering what tire options I have... I don't know what sizes I can safely run.. I don't plan on lowering so is 245/40 my safest bet or can I run something else? Also do I need spacers to have them be flush?

245-40 anyday!!!. I have the M45 wheels wrapped in pirelli pzeros and I'm SOOOO glad I didn't get the 35 series. I'm lowered hard on H&R sport springs with about a finger gap all around and 15mm spacers all around, and it fits PERFECT!!!! The ride is so much softer than my previous wheels on which I had 35 series wheels on. Here are a few pics.

ok ya i am gonna go with 245/40s, im on springs that sit similar to H&R's, i am on Espelir ASD, they actually sit a little lower then H&R's i know crazy, huh? lol. but after i get these 19's on with the 245/40's i think it will sit PERFECT, probably with no gap at all or just a little bit less then urs, like half a finger, also i think the 2nd gen sedan sits lower on H&R springs then the 1st gen, right??
