when to change brakes?

when to change brakes?

Hey guys I have a 2007 G35x? I've had the car for about 1.5 years, and I was wondering when to change brakes? and which brakes you guys would recommend? Thanks

when you go very fast and it doesnt brake.........thats when you need to change them

jk , i have a 05 i Daily drive and my pads still have a ton of left , if your not autocrossing everyday then you should be good for awhile

If you like to wait, you should start hearing squealing noises form the brakes when driving, these squeals are low brake pads indicators. But i tend to change mine before that happens to help out my rotors, you can always take a look at the pad and see how much is left.

+1 I'm at 19k+ fast miles including a track day, and I still have at least half the pads left. The pads on the new G are fantastic.

I went to buy my front brakes at Autozone and they said that their not available for the car yet!??That i need to get them from the Dealer???? Is this True? Or do i need to go to the dealer and get them installed?

Thinking about dealer jacked up prices tho!?

The Autozone brakes (Duralast or whatever they're calling them these days) are crap and will destroy your rotors.

Get OEM pads or better... dont go to autozone or oreileys...

2 trips to Palomar will kill your pads!!!!!!!!!

Do 07's have a 50k mile warranty on the brakes?

The guy I just bought my car from said that they are as suppose to last to 50k miles, and that the dealer will replace them for free if they dont. Is that true?
