Which springs to get?

I am in the market now for a new set of wheels, plus a new set of springs. i want springs that give the car a nice drop, but not too much where I am going to be scraping going over any little thing, plus I don't want it to be too stiff. Right now i have a Sport with 4WAS which has a little bit stiffer springs than a regular sport, Right?

Impul gives a subtle drop (less than 1") where it'll be virtually like driving a stock car, but with a somewhat noticeable lowered stance. ($500)

Eibach gives a more noticeable drop, but still relatively easy for every day driving w/o scraping on stuff too much. ($250)

H&R gives a very noticeable drop that looks really good, but makes it more difficult to drive w/o scraping on stuff. ($250 to $300)

Or, you can just get some coilovers - HKS Hipermax or JIC and set the drop at exactly the height you want for any condition. ($2K - $2.5K)

I have Eibach springs on my car. I've had coilovers on one of my previous cars.

There's a rear camber kit available for about $160 which will allow you to get the camber and toe back to within factory specs. No camber kit for the front as yet. Most people who drop their car really low just deal w/ the added wear. Some religiously rotate tires left to right by dismounting the tire from the rim.

As for height adjustment on coilovers, they come w/ adjustable spring perches which you just turn either by hand or w/ the supplied wrench to raise or lower the perch. I believe both the JIC Magic and HKS Hipermax are double adjustable, which means, you can significantly lower the car but maintain close to full suspension travel and not increase the spring preload. Both of these coilovers will easily give at least a 2" drop and can probably get close to 3" or more lower than stock.

Yes, the JIC Magic and HKS Hipermax are available for the 2nd gen 07+ G35 sedan. However, I think HKS coilovers are not compatible w/ cars equipped w/ 4WS. Not sure about JIC.

Come to think of it, I just realized you have an X. In that case, neither of the coilovers would likely fit your car. However, people have used Eibachs and H&Rs on their G35X w/o issue. Rear camber arms should still work, though I'm not 100% positive on that.

You have one more option... 350Z springs... they have the same rate as the 1st gen G sedans and gives it a mild drop..

Are you sure?
I haven't seen a post on this set up.
I'd be concerned about rates & drop on a 2nd gen,
It'd be nice if they were compatible, but I somehow doubt it.

Can't clear any driveway with my lip, sometimes I scrape under the car but the ride is not hard it feels smooth until you hit a huge bump.

I can't find it now...but someone at some point tried this. Rears dropped I think ~1/4 inch and the fronts didn't do anything.

Someone right now I think is trying G37S springs for the first time...haven't seen the results on that one yet...
