Question about tires

I have been thinking about buying the sport rims for my G35x. I know that a staggered setup is not recommended but here is my question. I am going to buy all front rims 18X7.5" I know that the factory tires that come on the Xs are the Dunlop Sport Maxx A1 A/S 225/50R18. I am not very keen on Dunlop tires so on to the real question. I like these tires:

Bridgestone Potenza RE960 Pole Position A/S size 225/45R18

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....1=yes&place=30

Will these tires have any effect on any of the systems on a 2008 G35X? IE speedo etc???

All input would be appreciated!!!

THANKS

Your new tires would be .7" smaller diameter and your speedo will be out by 2.9%. If you can live with that you will be okay, I know I would rather run something a bit closer to the stock diameter.

Are they not available in 225/50/18?

I would suggest 245/45 18's. This is the size I am going for on my 18" OEMs that currently shod the Dunlops. This works out to 0.7% different or less than 1 mile per hour off at 60, which is well within typical variance for spedo's. Plus wider tire = better handling.

I'm also running 245/45/18 PS A/S tires, but on 8.5" rims. They work well.

Thanks for all the help guys, I do have another question. If I do decide on going with the 18X8.5 will I need spacers?

So you like these tires? Are there any good or bad points to these tires?

THANKS

I'm running 19x8.5 and I didn't need spacers.

I love these tires and I am very happy with the performance and handling. The size is perfect for me.
I had the 225/55/17 on for one week, then I ran 255/40/18 PS2s for a while since they were used and on the rims I bought. Then I settled with the 245/45/18 PS A/S tires.

The only downside that I had was they are a pricey tire.

Are you talking about using the 8.5/18 OEM rear sedan sport rims all around.
If so the fronts will be tucked in quite a bit. It would definitely look better with spacers front and back since they are 50mm offset.
