You are correct. There is no 2nd gen application for the VIP-TARs AFAIK. You have to contact JIC and have it special made for you.

I finally got my custom set of VIP's from JIC a few weeks ago and just finally put them on the other day. So far I'm very happy with them... Fitment seems good, but I'm still playing with the height and damping adjustments. I'm planning on posting a full review on them with pics in a couple of weeks, once I've had a chance to get a feel for them. Feel free to send me a PM if you've got any specific questions on them.

Looking forward to your full review and I'm officially very jealous. I contacted JIC a few days ago. Isn't feasible for me to get a custom setup built since I'm in Norcal and they'll likely need to have my car for a day or so. So I'll anxiously wait for them to release the kit.

They wouldn't need your car, assuming you got the same set-up as me. They are just waiting on my feedback before they will specify them for our fitment. I'm off to Vegas in a couple of days and won't be back until the 7th, but I will post more when I get back and can let you know who to talk to at JIC if you want.

Sure, I don't see why not, but they would need to have you car at their shop for test fitment. PM me and I'll give you the name and number of the guys to talk to over there if you want.

Been out of it for quite awhile. What's your take on the VIP's so far?

Not much to say yet, as I have only been able to put about 200 or 300 miles on the car since I installd the JIC's. So far, I'm VERY happy with the ride and handling. These seem to be the perfect compromise between comfort and handling. I've changed the ride height a couple of times, but haven't really messed with the damper settings much yet. I started with them at 9/17 front and rear, but am now running them at 10/17 F and 9/17 rear. I plan to stiffen them up a little more in the near future and see how it rides. I will post a more detailed write-up in another thread once I get some more miles on them.

Awesome! Thanks in advance. I'm looking to make a decision and pull the trigger on a set of coilovers within the next month or so.

From the reviews I've heard your best bet for the money would be the Tanabe Sustec units. These are very comparable to the Tanabe basics, as they lack damping adjustments, but give full adjustment of the ride height. I haven't heard anything bad about these yet and you should be able to find them for around $900 for the set.

FYI... I have the JIC FLT-TAR VIP's, and am very happy with them, but they aren't currently offering them for our cars (mine are custom prototype units), plus they would be priced in the $2500 range.

I guess RWD coilovers are not AWD compatible?

Quick question, what are the spring rates for our G sedan???

Also the coilovers for the G35 coupe won't fit for us as well, right?? I doubt but not sure.
