HELP-Big Brake Kit installation problems!!!
I have an '07 G35 Sedan. I bought a Big brake kit from a G37 and installed it today on my car with no problem until the end. When I finished the actual install I tried to bleed the brakes, and after I thought I was done, I took it for a drive around the block. The brakes were spongy, and the car hardly stopped. I took the car back, pulled the wheels, checked all of the fittings(all were tight), and then decided to get a bleeder pump from autozone. I then used the bleeder pump I bought, and continued to THOROUGHLY bleed the lines. After refilling the resivoir a minimum of 2 times per corner, I considered it done. Went for another test drive, and the spongy feeling still in the brake pedal, and the car still won't hardly stop.
I seached everywhere and cant find the proper way to bleed the big brake kit from a G37. It has 2 bleeders per caliper(one on the inside pistons, and one on the outside pistons). Is there a proper sequence(inside/outside) to bleed these? I bled them in the order of RR,FL, LR, FR per another threads instructions. The thread however didn't say which piston to bleed first on that respective corner. Please clarify this for me.
Its raining and it 11:16 and I've given up for the night, but I'm going to start back first thing in the morning. All the help prior would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem, but after doing the following the brakes were fine:
• Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) connector or the battery negative terminal before performing the work.
When I installed and bleed my BBK's I started from the furthest caliper inside / outside in that order. Additionally used a Craftsman BRAKE BLEEDER VACUUM PUMP KIT. Don't stop bleeding the brakes until you have no or minimal air bubbles.

Thanks a million man.. I am glad to hear I am not the only one that has run into this!! I am about to start again on it but it anybody else has more comments please keep them coming. I will check back in a few...
^ Thanks a bunch. Ended up having to bleed the master cylinder too. There was air in it.. I love the new look and thanks for the advice. Glad you took the time to respond, got to love the forum!
G35driver101, sorry to veer off-topic, but did you have any issues installing the rear dust shield of the Akebono's b/c I hear that they are PITA to install? How long did the install take you?

I bought one of the vacuum hand pumps and it just didn't get it. It worked, but it worked my hand too (felt like a 14 year old with his first Playboy).
I went to Harbor Freight and got one that works off a small air compressor, that thing rocks! Took my about 15 minutes to do all four calipers. The only thing you have to do is wrap the bleeder screws with Teflon tape to stop air from coming in.

I bought the front dust shields and installed them. only took four xtra bolts per side. On the rears all i did was cut the lip and trim a little for the calipers to sit right on the rotors, i dont think it will make a huge difference not having them. it was raining and having only one floor jack and the multiple bleeds done (if we would have bleed the master cylinder the first time) it would have been maybe 4 hours of work total. This is with no true instructions either.

. looks like what my buddy said was true then b/c he had to trim the lip off of the rear dust shields as well
