Eibach Pro-Line for 09 Sedan

FWIW, I just confirmed that the '09 sedan springs do indeed have a new part number from Eibach.

For the 09, the Eibach part number is 6390.140. The drop to be published is 1.5F / 1.2R.

For comparison, the 07/08 drop published is 1.4F / 1.3R.

Do you have any ideas what the difference is? I just installed the 07-08 springs and rear camber arms on my car. I am not sure about the camber arms; did they say anything about them? The springs mounted up fine, but I am curious if there is any real difference.

Here is my thread that I talk about some of the differences. Thanks.

Would these be compatible with 08 sedans as well?
I would prefer these over their part for 07-08 since these will give a more even drop.

TERRY, do you know if the 09 part will fit on the 08 sedans??

I wanted to confirm this for my H&R springs I have ordered.. but NEVER found the right answers.. and *still searching*

I don't like the raised front look on the 07-08 Eibach kits.. so I think the 09 part would give the PERFECT drop/stance for our sedans if they would fit the 07-08 sedans!!!

I am almost positive they will fit, but I just want to make sure they fit for sure before I go this route.

I'm pretty sure they will physically fit. I'm still trying to get more details, but I was told the G37 have higher rate springs. I'm trying to find out if Eibach actually measured the spring constants to verify. If they DO, then you may end up actually raising your car more with the 09 springs.

i'm assuming the spring constant was raised due to the added weight?

So you are saying that since the spring rate is higher on the 09 springs, it will raise the car even more than provide any drop of the car??

I was told the stock rates are different between the model years. I don't know what Eibach did with their new spring design. In short, Eibach recommends the 09 spring for the 09 sedan ONLY. Sorry, I wish I had more details.

If you experiment, post up the results.

I was basically told the same thing, and unless you talk to the actual engineer working on the project, you will probably never know the exact differences.

With that said, the 07-08 springs on my 09 sedan make the front a lot lower. It looks more like the H & R's. My best guess is that the extra weight and the stiffer springs on the 09 make the difference. I would also think running the 09 springs would likely raise the front of an 07-08 (for the opposite reasons). I do agree, the only way someone will find out it by trying. I had to do it on my 09....

I will post pics of my car once I get the wheels mounted up in the next couple of days (probably tomorrow, but we will see). If someone really wants to see some pics with my stock wheels, I can go take some pics now....

^ That actually looks a bit lower in the front than the rear which is the look I am trying to achieve. Perhaps the difference in spring rate is causing the slight lower drop in the front in the 09 sedan?

B/c all the 07-08 sedans I've seen dropped on eibach is a tad bit lower in the rear than the front.

YES, you are correct. The front is lower than the rear. It may settle a tad, but I think it will be very little. I will post some better pics in the next few days.
