My 2c? I think it's a wash. The CS bar's single unit construction makes it inherently sturdier, however the GT Spec has the advantage of being able to make minute adjustments to get a better fit. At the rate that most people drive their vehicles, the performance differences between the two will hardly be felt. At which point, it's all about aesthetics.

Yeah, I emailed them. Wayne @ phase2motortrend.com confirmed that they test fitted it on a sedan. Here's some pics he sent me:

As for the differences between the GTSpec and CS bars.. I've posted my opinion on this before, but from my experiences with similarly designed bars in the past on my previous car, the GTSpec provides little more than aesthetic value. The CS bar should function well if it doesn't rub.

Well I finally installed my strut bar and took my car out for a spin. There is a specific S curve that I like taking @ spirited speeds and I drive on this particular S curve every single day to and fro work.
The difference of having the strut bar is not a drastic difference (as opposed to installing sway bars) but there is a subtle difference. When I am rounding the apex of the first S, I felt the car "held together" a bit more and had the same feeling around the 2nd apex of the S.
In summary, I believe that stiffening up your chassis will help your car's handling and the strut bar does exactly that.
Is it worth the money I paid? IMO yes. It's a great addition to your engine bay (as I plan to show my car later) and does serve a functional purpose as well.

I found one guy, ironchef @ myg37.com, that has the CS bar on his g37 coupe. He said he has no issues with the bar. So, since no one seems to have a CS bar on their 2nd gen G35 sedan, I decided to take one for the forum. I placed an order for the bar and I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Pretty sure this thread is about an STB for the 2nd gen G35 sedan.
Just realized I posted on the Sedan forum. Sorry! The bar is supposed to fit on the coupe too, so I will post my install update on the correct forum once I give it a try.

^ excellent.
This bar has really possibilities, but IMO there is one problem area.

The thing I love about this bar is the solid weld at the towers.
Structurally it should be better than a 3pc design.

One thing I can't really figure, is how they allow for installation variances.
Are the holes at the tower slotted????

IMO, the one thing that is somewhat of a weakness, is the large angle where it bends.
That will cause the bar to flex more than it should.
It looks like there is room for a corner gusset in those pics.
If so, I'd think seriously about welding in a piece.

i got my GT spec FSB installed on Monday and i have mainly been driving modestly in the city.
i feel like turning is slightly easier now and has a smoother feel to it.
i will post my review after i take my car to the hilly and curvy schenley park drive to test it out.

God forbid you need to take your engine cover off. Lets say, to change out your intake system.

had the strut bar installed for 1.5 weeks and no issues with rubbing. plus the strut bar would survive some rubbing if any takes place
