K thanks for the info guys.

Another question. Do the cylindrical mounts come off easily from the actual bar? Just a matter of screwing off the screws?

Im thinking I would like to powdercoat the mounts to a different color cuz Im really not feeling the faded blue color that they chose if I decide on the bar.

(This was actually someone else's great idea.. hehe for which I still cant wait to see the pics.. you know who you are.. :P )

the mounts are held to the bar with a nut and hex screw on each side. Just take off the screw and you're done.

Sounds good! Thanks for the quick reply!

Should I go for it!? Did you really see performance gains? (sorry if you posted already about this.. too lazy to read through the pages!)

you will notice a slight difference when pushing your car to the limit. the chassis is already stiff to begin with.
you will notice a bigger difference if you install several braces together.
Also, these would work more effectively if you have stiffer springs (especially coilovers). stiffer springs would put more strain on the shock towers during bumps, a strut bar would effectively eliminate any flex caused by that. however, stock soft springs would take the hit without much flex on the shock mounts.
So depending on what you expect from your car and what you are going to do, these could be a great addition or a simple show piece.

No other braces could work since I drive an "x". Sadly.

At the present time, the only suspension addition will be the strut bar on stock springs.

Thanks for your input Q.

Any updates on this ???

GTSpec info, good read

GTSPEC-MARK posted this on myg37.com. Mark posted this on 12-08, but it's a good read for those of you (like me) who wonder about the order of installing their parts should you not buy everything all at once.

Suggestion on what to get. List them from top to bottom (priority).

This will be the first 2 brace to get. These two braces tie the lateral arm and control arm together. These two braces act almost like a sway bar. We have tested the same braces on 350Z and the most effective brace so far.

2. Rear 6 point subframe brace
Because it's a bit pricey, that's why I list this brace as #2. If budget allow, this brace is a great addition. The brace link the rear subframe to the chassis. It added three extra reinforcement points per side. It's a 5 piece kit thus a higher price than rest of the braces.

3. Fender Brace
Fender brace ties the front engine compartment to your mid chassis. Known to be used on many track car, it provided extra reinforcement for the front of your car.

4. Front subframe tie brace 2/4 point.
I list this lower than the rest mainly because the front subframe are already very stiff. These two braces reinforce the existing mounting points. It still provide added reinforcement but not as much advantage compare to the rest of the braces.

5. Front subframe left + right tie brace
This brace is the last on the list because it's a significantly smaller brace compare to the rest. However, it does added two extra reinforcement points to the front subframe, but compare to the rest of the braces that's available, this brace has less effect.

Everyone will ask "how much" more advantage do you have compare to stock. It's really hard to measure and give you an exact number. I believe there are no set standard on how to measure it.

You really have to try it and feel how much more these brace will help the total driving experience. We can guarantee that you will come back for more once you have tried them

OK guys.... I got my GT-Spec 4pc. front end kit installed.

- front strut-bar
-2pts Subframe Reinformcement brace
-front corner subframe Tie braces
-4 point Ladder Brace

All I can say is...... WOW!!! what an improvement!!!

I took the car for a test run on back roads that I have driven many times.
The car felt completely different, it felt like I had never driven those roads before.

To begin with the front end just feels much more solid.
Imperfections and pavement holes were sucked up by the suspension,
with much less energy being transmitted into the cabin.

You know those cross road breaks that jar the cabin when both wheels hit them?
....suspension now sucks them up with ease.

Handling is also greatly improved.
Steering inputs are crisp & clean.
Point it through some twisties; ....turn in is improved & it carves a much cleaner line.

All in all well worth the $. ...2 thumbs up
