^ it really was too bad that I couldn't get a shop to do an actual test on these....
But, while not as ideal as a matched set, the difference is VERY slight from my rough calculation.
& on the car.... I didn't feel like there was any difference that I could feel.

+1 - I felt no difference other than a little less body roll.Originally Posted by InTgr8r

Well I guess I'm taking one for the team. My front springs have a purple/pink dot NOT a yellow/pink. Also my springs are the exact same height uncompressed unlike the 35 springs that were taller then the 370z springs uncompressed.

UPDATE: Even though the springs on the 37 are different the outcome is the same

Was thinking about trying this mod. Anyone try this mod yet on an AWD? If so, how did the drop results come out and what are the changes as far as the handling?
Thanks.
Thanks.

this thread is pretty long so i have a quick question....are there any issues and is it safe with running the 370z springs for the front and keeping the rears stock and shaving part of them off? I know there was an issue on post 226 or something but didn't really understand it and whether or not it was resolved. thanks.

I don't want to read through the 19 pages, can you give us a conclusion of how the set-up is? I don't think it's too safe to fit springs of different lengths into the same strut. Too many issues may arise. Suspension shouldn't be toyed with too much.
Drop looks good on your other thread and now I'm interested.
You actually had to cut your struts for them to fit? This has probably been mentioned before but does anyone know the drop with the G37S springs?

I spent a couple hours on it tonight. Didnt finish the first spring yet though...heres why. (and I was tired so I'll finish it all tomorrow)
This is the difference in height, can you guess which is which?

I will have some before and after pics later on...maybe tomorrow night.
Cheers.

I got the 370Z front springs installed. The drop is what I was hoping for. At the moment it sits about 7/8" lower. Not too much but definitely looks better IMO...a little less 4x4 ish. The ride still feels the same over bumps BUT the cornering has significantly reduced body roll.
There is hardly any noticeable camber change (visually) and the alignment still feels dead-on while highway driving.
I haven't installed the 'shaved' rear spring upper seat back. I want to see if the front settles much. I like the stance but would appreciate your opinions.
Everyone who has seen or has an X knows how big the wheel gap is, especially up front but I added a before pic anyway.
Before:

After:

Measurement taken from the ground to the plastic valance under the front bumper...
Before:

After:

Difference in front coil spring height...left = G35, right = 370z

Looks good. I am definitely interested in seeing the final results and also hearing about the handling and the ride.
