If this is the same spare tire that came with the vehicle, then yes it will fit.

I wish the Gs had the Brembos instead of the Akebonos. Akebonos don't bite like the Brembos did.

Bite is usually in the pads, not the calipers.

You are correct. I had Hawk HPS pads on my 03 G35 Brembos and they didn't bike like stock. I was expecting my 09 g37 Akebono brake system to bite like the brembos. I guess that Infiniti listened to all those people bitc*ing about how sensitive the brakes were and maybe reformulated the pads. I never had a problem with the sensitivity of the brembos.

Sorry to jack your thread.

Thank you. Tonke, yes, i'm referring to the stock spare that came with the sedans. If it fits the rears at least then this is a worthwhile upgrade. Otherwise, i'm going to have to find a larger spare.

TTT

...aside from the G37 spare has anyone found any other spare that works?
Front & rear, I doubt that my 10" rear will swap to the front.

I'm waffling back & forth which way to go here.
My Z4M had no spare & just had a roadside comp/kit.
...I was lucky to never have needed to use it.

For those that have changed to the Akebono, just wondering what you did?

IIRC, you need the 37 spare. The 35 spare won't work.

Correct. I had to get a G37S coupe spare (which came with the akebonos) to clear my front StopTechs because my stock G35 spare wouldn't work.

Does that spare fit in the same compartment in the trunk that our spare sits inside of?

^Yes it should. I'm currently looking for the 37 spare as well... it's kinda hard to find one. :/

ooh, an oldie!

Thanks guys, i eventually figured this out after i got the kit.

Check out car-parts, i found a couple of G37 spares on there before, but they weren't local and the shops that had them charged an arm and half a leg for shipping.

^Same problem here....
I'll probably end up going with the Conti kit until I find one.

Since the spare fits over the rears, assuming you have a rear flat, it's not an issue. For a front flat, as cumbersome as it sounds, one could do a three-point swap-out between the front, rear and the spare.

^ I was thinking that, except I'm not sure that my 10" rear will work up front.

In my case, 10.5.

That conti kit looks pretty good. I might have to get one just in case.
