Changing tire sized from OEM and Problems

Earth, it would be the different tire sizes causing his problem. He is running a 26.9" tire on one end and a 25.1" tire on the other

I would do it b/c I need to replace my rears, but don't want to go with the OEM or the Goodyears since everyone says it has alot of road noise. My fronts still have some tread on them, so I was just hoping to get some more life out of them before dropping another $500. I figured it can't be done, so I'll just have to buy all 4s

One of my rears is flat so I plan to replace both the rears. I want to eventually go w/ the 235-50-18 and 255-45-18 setup people recommend to give me more tire options. My question is, if i were to replace the rears to 255-45-18 and leave the OEM fronts, will it give me problems?

I have Goodyear Eagle F1s with the 225/45/18 in the front. no problems in terms of VDC or anything like that, seems to run just fine. They do make the front wheel well look substantially larger than the back because the wheel gap is much larger. Also, I HATE the Goodyears because of obnoxious road noise and I'm switching to Michelin PS2s this week and going back to the correct 225/50 size on the front

I honestly think these manufacturers make wheels odd sizes in order to benefit the OEM tire manufacturer. Its pretty ridiculous that there are so few options when it comes to replacing tires on OEM sport wheels.

are you talking about the GS D3?

I believe Gee35FX (or whatever) was responding to the original post, not to you. I too ran new 255/45/18's on the rear when my OE fronts had life left on them. Now I have replaced the OE fronts with 235/50/18, and I never had a light. Sumitomo HTR ZIII's save you a bunch of money for a small change in performance.
