Tire questions

My 2008 G35S needs new rear tires. I'm thinking of replacing the stock Bridgestone Potenza's with Kumho Ecsta LX Platinums. Has anyone had any experience with these?

Would there be any problems mixing Bridgestones in front and Kumho's in the back?

Thanks.

no problem mixing, might look a lil goofy,

serious drives will say that the dynamics of the car will change, which is true,

but you won't be running any time trials will you?

ur *** end will brake loose a lot easer

arent the LX platinums a all season tire? why not a extreme performance tire?

Yeah, the Ecsta's are "grand touring all season". I'm not gonna get an extreme performance tire because they don't last as long and I really don't drive that hard. The stock Bridgestone's lasted me 23,000 miles. The Kumho's last about 60,000 miles. They also have a really good warranty. I'm gonna replace the front one's with Kumho's too when they get worn out. Money's kinda tight right now.

Thanks for the replies!

I run Kumho ecstas as well, not the all seasons though, the summers (SPT). They ride awesome, not noisy, and tread pattern with kumho engraved in the middle tread look awesome. best bang for the buck (for me at least).

No problems on mixing tires as long as they're the same type (summer vs all season). Some people say the speed rating on them makes a difference if they're not the same, but I've mixed tires many times in the past and unless you're ripping 150-200km/h, I really haven't noticed an issue (from my experience).
