Anyone running aftermarket TPMS?
I have TPMS sensors installed in my wheels, but they are not Infiniti sensors.
I bought them from the shop and had them installed at the time of mounting and balancing.
I'm now trying to get them synced and Infiniti is telling me that they can't pair them because they are not Infiniti OEM sensors.
I call
Anyone else using AM sensors successfully and if so, where dd you get them paired?

Hey Scott, I was talking with our tire supplier (work) about this a while back.
He was looking into this issue at the time.
I have to talk to him about mounting the new wheels anyway,
so I'll see if he has any new info.
Out of curiosity....
Why did you go with aftermarket sensors, did you have a problem with your OE sensors?

Following this thread since my tire shop broke one of the TPMS while dismouting a tire. I was actually thinking of going back today to have them install the replacement TPMS that they got for me (don't know if it's aftermarket or OEM though).

I would think that all four would have to be the same.
My OE sensors are still in my OE 17" wheels. I wanted to hang on to those and didn't want to go through the hassle of having the sensors removed and the tires remounted and balanced.
I purchased the sensors from the same place I bought the wheels and tires, RX Performance Motorsports. They are now a banned sponsor, and they treated me like crap after the sale.
I paid close to $350 for these sensors, so it will absolutely suck if I can't get them to work.

I mean, they should work. Tirerack sells AM sensors and they have assured me that they would work. I almost had them put into my winter setup by decided aginst the extra cost last minute.
Tirerack, I trust. If they say AM sensors work, well.... I suppose the should, right?

Great, thanks, I thought I remember hearing they were OEM compatible.
AM sensors can be paired up with the TPMS system for sure. You just might want to double check if the exact sensors you have work with the G's system.
Try checking out another dealership cause I think the one that told you that is just trying to sell you a set of sensors themselves.

The hubs are bored to the correct size.
You can pair up Aftermarkets sensors. You just have to make sure that the aftermarket sensors are made for the car. At my job we do it all the time, we order customers aftermarket factory sensor and than we sync it to their car and it works perfectly. You just have to double check because the sensors may look the same but the chips inside are not. I work for Discount tire (just in case anyone asks).
No, but they are cheaper in cost.
If you can find Infiniti TPMS in the used marketplace, that's one thing but buying them new from Infiniti, they cost more than getting the aftermarkets from the tire shops.

Furthermore, there is a convenience factor. Having the installed at the shop at the same time as when the tires are mounted is a bonus. I watched the marketplace for quite a while before ordering my wheels with the hopes of shipping the sensors down to be installed, but nothing came up for sale... so I went AM
I've carried aftermarket TPMS sensor for my cool G35 at BELLE Tire(but I've heard of Mavis Tire also could get that), it only cost me $30~40 each!It have run 45800miles and operated well
