Will 16" wheels fit over S brake?

Don't bother asking why, Yes I know it'll look bad. Get past that!

Now does anyone know, maybe have a 16" snow setup or has ever tried? I'm just trying to find out if 16s will fit over the SPORT brakes, I know the discs are 13" plus calipers and etc.

Anyone?

17s just fit.
In fact the balance weights on my 17s rubbed on the calipers.

16"s won't even be close. Althought InTgr8r fit 17"s on his, I would go with 18"s at the least.

13"?? I believe the front S rotors are just over 14" and the rear is 13.8.. Pretty sure it wont fit.

the 14" rotors are only on the 37S, the brakes on the 35S are only 13"

sweet thanks, I have 18s now but I'm going to sell them for some 17s since tires are WAY cheaper on those and I chew them up pretty quick with what I use them for

thanks though, I'll be sure to test fit any 17's before I buy them - Mustang 17's are pretty cheap hahaha, that'll look weird

Im running 05 17" coupe wheels on My 08 Sport. They were the only 17"s that I could find that cleared the brakes. They also have a wider offset toward the outer edge,so they fill the fenders better.
Someone else here ,found some aftermarket 17's that cleared the brakes, but I cant remember the info.Maybe They will chime in?

On a good set of tires they can be like $100 less for tires, and I think I may have found a buyer for my 18s.

Sweet, thanks Gypsy. I've been looking at those 1st gen 17s but I cant find anyone local willing to sell for a decent price :-/. Do you think I should look for larger offsets then? I think the mustang wheels have like a 45 offset - and are 8x17 so I can get some meaty tires on there

AJ, I could be wrong, but i doubt the Maxima wheels will fit. I used to have a difficult time washing the inner barrel on my old car, and those rotors were only 11". Not to mention, most of them are 45 offset. Try one from the later years, or if you can still find it the 18" Forged NISMO's - those are what i had on the Max before i sold it. I have the 5th wheel if you want to do a test-fit. (I kept it as a souvenir heheh).

They're from one of the last gen Max's, 17x7. School me on offsets then - a larger number offset will push the wheel further out from the car, is that right? Will that help though or change anything? I'm just worried about clearing the caliper

I'm not going to buy ANYTHING unless I can test fit, which I should probably do before I let this guy buy my 18s..... I'm looking to downgrade to save cash on tires, and I found a guy who wants my 350z's since he's selling his car and needs stockers. But if 17s wont fit I'll hold on to these since they're not staggered.

You have an 18" Nismo? As in the 6-spoke that came on the original 350z Track? Or that newer one on later model 350s?

Offset is kinda tricky, but basically the higher the number (+45) the more tucked-in it would be... which works against caliper clearance to the inner spoke.

The NISMO's i had were from the NISMO Altima that Nissan started production of (through Rays) but didn't follow-through. For a while, there was an influx of rims on clearance from virtually everywhere... the 5-spoke rims weighed less than 18 lbs which was great. It was then followed recently by those from the NISMO Maxima (19" 10 spokes) that cost even less.

Here's what those Alti NISMO's looked like.
