haha, I hear you. Having a ride would be a good thing huh. What is the name of the shop you are going to? Let me know what you think of them as when it comes time for me to do mine I have no idea where to go for the install. Then again it won't be until next year for my drop but we will see how long I can go without it.

 

Back when the wife and I were driving POS's that were out of warranty, we had a neighborhood mechanic that always did good work and never ripped us off. The only downer is his shop looks like it should be condemned. I mean, it's okay... has a lift and whatnot, but it's not one of these million dollar performance shops we all know and love.
I swung by his shop today just to see if he remembered me (we haven't needed him in years) and he took a look at the car and said he'd do it and didn't expect it to be more than $200 out the door. He also lined up a tire shop in town to do my alignment once the springs settle for $125- so I just need to square up my schedule with my wifes and then square up our combined schedules with his. again...

I want these in before the cruise in NH on the 18th!

Well, they are in and I'm happy I paid someone to do them. He had a lift and a spring compressing machine and even still, he said it was a royal PITA to get these in. I live in NE and after a few wonderful winters, a few of the bolts were frozen solid and needed some persuasion in the form of a torch to get freed.
I love the new look and feel and can't wait to get on it... it's been raining all day.

I should have done this years ago. Now I see why everyone goes with these springs.

It's raining and dark here right now and tomorrow, I'm planning on staying late at work and getting some catch-up work done, so tomorrow doesn't look good either.
We're planning a Mountain Cruise this Sunday if the weather holds out... will make for some good pics if it happens.

That really does make a big difference in the appearance. On a side note, you just about ready for a little strut bar now Scott.

 

Call me an opptimist, but I'm not too worried anymore. I was more worried about getting out of my driveway and over the speed bumps at work without scraping. I have no clearance issues with these so I'm starting to think I'm gonna be okay with the snow.
Honestly, if it's that bad out, I'm gonna just work from home anyway but I also know that we get these crazy storms that start just after you butt hits the seat at work and by lunch, there's 2 feet on the ground.
I'll watch the weather a little more closely now, since it never caused me concern in the past but other than trying to get a head start of bigger storms, I think I'll be just fine.

You probably stated this someplace but what was the final drop figures front/back?

I really like the look but I was scraping buttom a little bit on our last snow storm due to the fact they didn't plow the roads and everyone drove in the same tracks. Then it melted just a little bit into ice blocks. I had no choice about staying home.

How is the handling?

 

I didn't take any before measurments but I know others have posted them around here somewhere.
Handling id great and I'm expecting them to improve a bit more once the alignment is done. Steering is more responsive, flatter in the corners and the overall feel is great. You do feel the road a bit more, but that was expected.

So far, I'm a happy camper
