I've been looking high and low for a relatively affordable low-profile jack to lift the G, especially the front end, without having to drive up a ramp first (which i did build). Also, being able to lift higher than 14" is a bonus. (Something most affordable 2+ ton low-profile jacks are limited to)
After having tried several sets from Craftsman and Harbor Freight i came across the Arcan Quick Lift Service Jack — 3 1/2-Ton, Model# XL35 from Northern Tool ($149 as of this writing, great reviews).
It's no race jack, and it's made completely out of steel (it weighs in at over 100 lbs!) but it's low profile from bow to stern and able to lift 7,000 lbs. The only other "low-profile" jack close to this was from Harbor Freight, but only the front end of it was low-profile and it immediately raked up to twice the height towards the back, lodging itself to the bottom part of the bumper and preventing the lifting area from reaching underneath the vehicle.
So far, i'm liking this particular jack and might just end up keeping it. It *is* huge and heavy, but feels very robust and does really only take 8 pumps to reach its full lift height of over 21", although not on the front-end of the G as you have to initialize with "baby" pumps to get the car high enough and allow you a full-stroke pump.
And by big, i mean BIG, the box itself pretty much occupied the entire trunk. It's almost 2.5 feet long.
The release is also well-regulated, so the vehicle doesn't just drop back down to the ground like some jacks. (My biggest gripe with some jacks).

I'm not lowered at all, but always had trouble getting a jack underneath the front, so i built the ramp linked to above to get the car high enough to fit the lift underneath.
With this Arcan jack, i just slide it under and start lifting.

nice, now that i think back i had to drive my mustang up onto 2 stepping stones from the back yard to get the jack under there lol. it just seemed like the G was higher because i dont scrape on EVERYTHING

What's really interesting, to me at least, is how a stock G sits lower, or rather has less clearance than my previous lowered car. If you want me to measure something on the jack or for clearance issues, just let me know.

Yea , it is 300$,but at 2.5 " tall,it will fit under a few of My other cars.

I was going to give it a shot, but yowza, $125 for shipping! That 2.5" clearance sure is tempting though.
