Need tire advice

I'm getting some new tires and want a good all-weather tire. ('07 G35X) I don't really need a winter set-up, as the all-weather's work great here in Denver and I don't want to be changing twice a year. Suggestions for a good tire?

The Falken Ziex 912 are a GREAT value and grip really well! Not only that, but they have excellent tread life.

Dunlops

I just put these Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A1 A/S on my car.

I have the 2007 G35 with the Tire package (so the 18" wheels). I wasn't able to find them anywhere but tire rack, but I went ahead and tried them anyway. I only have about 500 miles on them, but the noise is dramatically less than the Bridgestones and the ride is softer. I need to get mine rebalanced b/c around 70-75mph there is a slight vibration in the steering wheel, but I don't think it's the tires as much as the installation. I'm giving up a little in the way of sharp responses, but I like the ride and the low level of road noise. I hear wind/engine noise for the first time, rather than road rumble.

Pilot Sport A/S is on sale on Tire Rack. For $136 a great all season tire, this is an absolute steal.

Is the Pilot Sport AS Plus a better tire? It seems to have better ratings for ice and snow.

^^^ better than what?

To be honest... if money was not a concern with me, I would go with Michelins for almost any tire I need. Unfortunately I have to compromise. I have never had a complaint about any Michelin Tire I've ridden on.

Amen to that. I stole 4 of them and the improvement in the ride and handling of my G is beyond description. If I known that the factory Goodyears were such crap I would have had them replaced before I took delivery of the car. But dummy that I am, I actually assumed Infiniti would have have put some decent rubber on a luxury performance vehicle. Great experience with Tire Rack, shipped the day I placed the order last Friday and got them on Monday.

Not $50 better as Pilot Sport would more than hold its own in rain/snow conditions; but if money is no object to you and you want the absolute best by all means go ahead and spend it on A/S Plus
