Need a alignment?

Is it normal that that the rear tires wear out faster then the fronts? Both my rears has about 2/32'' remaining while the fronts has about 5/36" remaining. Also on all four tires, the outer edge is more worn then the inner edge (as much as a 2/32" difference on some of them).

this is a RWD car so the rears will wear out faster. it is unusual that your outer edges are wearing faster than the inner edges. should be the oher way around if anything.

it is unusual for the outer edges to wear first. I'd do an alignment if i saw that happen.

Actually I have the same tire wear as you are seeing.
All my outer tires are more worn than inner ones. It also depends on how fast you taking turns and stuff.
Also yes rear will wear out faster than fronts.
I am in process of getting new tires.

Whether your tires are wearing on the outside first or the inside (like mine do) I'm certain that all G owners would benefit from regular alignments. Even if you're crusing on the stock suspension. I don't know if the car just jumps out of spec fast or if the tolerances are just really small. Either way, I've got lifetime alignments and I'm getting a new one every few months. Otherwise, I'd never have a tire live up to it's waranty. Yeah, I'm sure getting them every few months is a bit extreme but once you buy the lifetime deal, you might as well.

I purchased a lifetime alignment at my local Fierstone dealer. No limits.

I've got the same deal as Terrycs. I think I paid about $160 or $180. Just has to be the same car.

^that has to be a huge loss leader. It doesn't seem to make any sense to me but they must have reasoning for it.

The car almost 2 years old and I never had an alignment lol. I guess it is time to replace the stock tires. Should I just replace the rear and get an alignment for all four tires or replace all 4?
