Question Why are my inside front tires bald? *Pics*

While installing my coilovers I noticed both my front tires were worn from the inside, what could make them do that? and anything I can do to help reduce this?:

You lowered prior to the COs? And do you know what your tow / camber settings are currently?

The car was on stock suspensions until this Friday when I installed the JIC coilovers, I'm not sure what my toe and camber are to be honest

With that kind of wear....
If you were at stock height, then there was way too much front toe.

Lowered, I set my front toe to 0.00"
JMO, but I would wait until you have finished playing with the JICs ride height,
then get it in for an alignment.

thats called "camber wear"
you have too much negative camber.

an alignment will fix this (assuming stock - up to a mild drop (around 1"))
If your drop is lower, you might need a "camber kit" (the rear for sure)

edit: after reading ians post, yeah could be toe as well...regardless your alignment is outta whack.

Mine are the same way. A little after I took the following pic, I had the tires removed and switch L to R.

Now the insides are even worse, as of yesterday I can feel the metal bands, but new ones will be on on Thursday.
Once I put new rears on next month, I'll get an alignment.

Don't set the front toe to 0.0. You want 0.0 when you're driving, but the settings must be different to compensate for the load you'll be putting on the suspension when you get in the car, and when you start driving.

what is the range of adjustment on toe for a G35? I know you can adjust them, but the range is minimal I think...

From the factory, front toe is pretty adjustable, and there really isn't a front toe kit because there really isn't a need. Rear toe is not adjustable at all.

Alignment is often messed up right from the get go.
It may well be in spec, .....but all over the map between min & max.

The dealers do brief road test & that's it!

One of the first things I do with a new car is take it to a GOOD alignment shop.
