Are +20 offset 8.5 or 9.5 wide wheels too aggressive on a sedan?
I'm still looking for 18s to clear the Akebono's, found a couple but are slightly over my budget.
I did find a couple of sets that can be had either in 8.5 or 9.5" widths, but are 20 or 22 offsets. I like flush, but don't like them to stick out at all.
Thoughts are gladly appreciated.
Thanks.

I also have a 9.5" +37 rear, and with regular tires (275/35/19) and around -1.5* of negative camber I would not want to go any lower in offset.
The 8.5" front with the +22 would be close. I really think the ideal "normal" offsets are around +30 on a 8.5" front, and +40 on a 9.5" rear. To go more aggressive, you really need to run more negative camber and/or stretch the tires....

i was running 20x8.5 20mm offsets on the fronts and 20x10 40mm offset on the rears and they sat perfectly flush with the car lowered on H&R springs with neg camber and stretched tires
im now running 17x8.5 24mm offset fronts and 17x9.5 38mm offset rear with only a few mm difference. but the tires make it appear perfectly flush

I personally don't like stretched look as much as meaty look on tires
as well as some other factors such as interference with the VDC.
