Do Koni Yellows fit 2nd gen sedans?

I am thinking of sending out the OEM shocks to have Koni rebuild them and make them adjustable (they would insert the Koni's into the OEM housing)-i have a g37x and this would be my only aftermarket suspension option.

However, i don't know if Koni made any struts for the 2nd gen.
On their website i see them making them for 03-07, which is vague and makes me believe that they think that the '07 model is still the 1st gen sedan.

Does anyone know anyone currently running any type of Koni shocks in their 07+g35/g37 g37x?

I want to make sure that they can actually create something that is applicable to the 2nd gen.

Ive never heard of the company Koni. But i can answer your question about aftermarket struts. there are none available for the 2nd Gen Sedans especially for the X. however I think there is 1 company i think its bilstein that make the struts but they cost more than coilovers.

and is it even possible to make the OEM struts adjustable? i wan to know more

I don't believe Koni makes anything for the V36... However, there is always first for everything...

You should try to contact them and see if they'll make a set for you.

You serious? Koni ranks up there with Bilstein in terms of quality of product.

^lol.... +1

Tokico is supposed to be stepping up soon with the D-Spec for 2nd gen
but you'd still have to source springs sepately.

IDK of anyone with a complete strut/cup kit coming to market

i was under the impression that there are no coilovers that currently fit the 07+ Gx, am i wrong? if so what are the current choices?

on a similar note, what are the dangers of having Koni custom build the struts into the OEM housings? I mean i assume they would know the proper valving if i give them the weight and the weight distribution of the car, no?

I know I'm resurrecting an older thread, but it needs to be pointed out that Koni was wrong in selling their 03-06 shocks for the 03-07 range. The 07 is actually the newer suspension, not the same as the 03-06 line. The 07 suspension is NOT 1st gen as Koni says. The fronts aren't split-fork style like the 03-06, so if you follow their recommendations, you'll be dealing with returning the shocks without a solution from them. The solution is to use the shocks they sell for the 08. Refer to my thread here:

If you want to do a strut like Koni for you AWD then send your stock to a company called True Choice. They will convert your stocks struts into Koni. The cost is a pretty penny.
