Basically, if you're going same size tires all around, wouldn't all of you agree that the same size rims should be used, especially if you have the option such as the OP and myself had when buying?
Yep, you're good with same size all around. It's the way to go.

I asked the service manager at my Infiniti dealership if I could run a staggered set up on my X, he said no problem and that the G37x comes from the factory running staggered.

Find another dealer. That guy doesn't know his azz from a hole in the ground.

OE spec is;
Double 5-spoke, 17 x 7.5-inch aluminum-alloy with 225/55R17 V-rated all-season performance tires
or optional
Split 5-spoke 18 x 7.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/50R18 V-rated all-season performance tires (front/rear)

you could run staggered on AWD, bmw do it, but you have to stay between 0.2-0.7% difference in tire circumference.

Funny I am running 19x9 +32 with a 15mm spacer and a 19x10 +32 with a 225/40 and 255/35 no problems, on mine. I even got a flat on the way to cali and ran my 17x7.5 +45 with a 225/50 and still no problems.

They're all still within the same overall diameter, so you're good.
