20x9 and 20x10.5inch wheel fitment help!

Looking to purchase some 20' Forgestar F14 rims for my 07 G35 sedan. Thinking of going for 20x9 in front and 20x10.5 rear. My car is lowered on Tanabe DF spring and running around -1.5 camber front and rear.

What tire size should I go for? (want some fat tires)
and what offset should I go for?

Thank you so much for the help
Tried the search buttonk but nothing much I could find.

for the fronts you can do +25 offset with 245/35/20 tires and for the rears you have a couple of choices. 1) +40 offset with 275/35/20 (big fat tires) 2). +30 to +35 with 285/30/20 ( not so fat tires) or vice versa with the tires. you choose do you want a aggressive look or a regular look. since your car is dropped i would prefer +35 with 275/35/20 (big tires) but the proper set of tires would be 275/30/20.

Let us know what you end up with and show us pics. I'm thinking about the F14's as well and can't decide between 19s or 20s.

go as 20X9 +25 or +20 use 235/35/20
20 x 10.5 + 25 or + 30 255/35/20

or +30 245/35/20.............+35 275/35/20

If you go with F14's, then go with 19's if you want something quickly. I had 20" F14's on order from Forgestar since August and they just told me a few weeks ago they wouldn't have the fronts in until late July because of a productiong problem. Sufice it to say, I got a refund and just picked up a used set of 20" Volk GT30's over the weekend for the same price.

Incidentally. My GT30's are 20x9.5 +35 (equivalent to a 20x9 +29) with 245/35R20's and 20x10.5 +37 with 275/30R20's, but I plan on switching the rears to 285/30R20's when I need new tires.

Why would you do 275/35?? That's a diameter larger than stock. I'd keep it 275/30/20, but it also depends on what kind and brand tires he wants.

Also, you MAY try fitting 285/30/20 (*proper tires... not the stretch friendly ones. If you understand the sidewall designs, you'd understand.) on -1.5 cambers on +35 offset, but he may experience rubbing. I'd suggest pulling the fender a little to accommodate the 285 or even 295 with minimal negative cambers.

FYI, I'm running 275/30/20 P-Zero Nero (almost same size as 285/30/20 Falken FK452) on 10.5x20 +35 with -1.9 camber with SLIGHT rubbing on the liner (which I have cut already). Now I'm running same tires/wheels with -2.5 camber with me inside the car.

For comparison:

Stock 225/50/18 and 245/45/18 have a approximate diameter of 27" with RPM (Revs per mile) of 772 and 26.7" with RPM of 780 respectively (Data from Tirerack - Bridgestone Potenza RE050 OE Tires).

The tires you speak of 275/35/20 has a approximate diameter of 27.6" with RPM of 754. Whereas 275/30/20 has a approximate diameter of 26.5" with RPM of 783 which is much closer to the OE spec (Data from Tirerack - Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110).

I suggest you going with slightly higher offset in the rear if you plan on putting some fatter tires in the rear with minimal negative cambers. If you plan on going crazy with the camber, you can still put spacers later on. Just my 2c.

hey herman

with 30 in the front and 35 in the rear you should be ok, running offsets very similar with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20

also im dropped on the same spring as you, no rubbing and still looks nice and aggressive for a sedan
