Unknown Clicking sound!!!
Unknown Clicking sound!!!
I own 2008 G35x S. It is a nice car no doubt. But lately I have a problem, and it does not happen often. If there was a passenger sits on the seat (Front Passenger side) when you apply brake slowly to stop the vehicle, sometimes you would hear a click sound when the vehicle stop. When you about to move again from a complete stop, the clicking sound comes back. I brought back to the dealer. I test drove the car with the technician sitting next to me, and I was able to reproduce the problem. When they test drove the car, they were unable to reproduced the problem. They check the seat to see if there was any screws and bolts are loose. Nothing was found. It is still happening once in a awhile. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I got my G service periodic such oil change, tire rotation. I do not know whether it is the sit that is giving me the problem or something else. But it only happen when there is a passenger sit on the front passenger side. I've brought the vehicle to the dealer, and they had it for 3 days. They were having a tough time to figure out where the noise is coming from? I have send some forum posts regarding the clicking sound, but they said it is not what I think it is.
When I test drove with the Senior Technician from the dealer, he was so sure that it is the suspension. For 3 days, he can not reproduce the problem. What he told me that he ended up checking the front and rear suspension unit with the fixture. I send an email to the Service manager and asked whether they lubricate anything or just visual check. I am still waiting for the answer.
If anyone know about this issue and have a solution, please advice me. I am planning to bring my car to different dealer. It is a waste of my times to go back and forth.
Thanks everyone.
Dude I've been having the same problem for over a year! Only mine is driver's side front tire. I've been to 2 dealerships and complained multiple times. Could not re-create the sound on demand. And so I am stuck in the same situation as yourself. For me they are trying to blame my M45 rims. They say I need to put my stock rims back on and see if it happens then
