rubbing with 20s in the rear on eibachs
ok guys so i put on 20" vossens with eibach drop, and my rear rims rub sometimes when i go through dips and stuff. How would I make this rubbing stop? I was told by a friend to run negative 2 camber in the rear but them i am worried about my tires being chewed to pieces real quick. any other suggestions from you guys? I will have pics up soon after the weather gets better here. Thanks guys.
The fenders on the 2nd gen G's are already rolled, so the only way i see you curing this problem would be to run negative cambers in the rear, try to keep it as low as possible though.
Run around 1.8* of camber and you should be ok.
Don't worry about camber wear, as long as your toe is in spec you won't have crazy wear. It'll just be a little uneven. Plus, 1.8* is really nothing that'll cause much wear.

Funny you ask that bro.
I have pretty aggressive wheels for the sedan so there were a list of limitations when mounting the wheels.
I tried fitting a 275/30/20 in the rear and it was touching the fender without anyone in the back. And that's with -3.30* camber in the rear.
Now I have 255/30/20 in the rear and 245/35/20 in the front.
The problem is, my rear tires are 1" too small in diameter than they should be so I'm scraping the mid-section of my exhaust when going over some speedbumps.
The fronts are a little too wide and rub on the fender bracket when there's a dip in the road. I'm running -2.24* camber in the front.
Now I've ordered 235/35/20 and 255/35/20 General Exclaim UHPs from tirerack and that should solve all my problems. Only problem is, tirerack won't have the rears in stock for another 2-3 weeks so I'm looking at getting the tires by the end of the month.

damn 2-3...that sucks! wow -3.30 camber and still rubbing on the fender! yeah i only rub if i go through a dip too fast. otherwise i never rub..but once is too much for me so I willc camber out to -1.75ish or so and see how it is.

oh wow -3.30 looks like 0 degrees to the naked eye...so -1.8 or -2 I should be fine. I just gotta make sure they have both rear wheels equal at -1.8 and the toe matches as well...and the same for the front wheels.
Well I wouldn't exactly say it looks like 0 degrees cause even stock cars don't have 0 camber but -1.80* won't be too noticeable unless you're looking for it.
The -3.30* on my car gives a more aggressive look to the car IMHO.
Just make sure the camber matches on both sides and the toe is in spec and you'll be good to go.
