Spacers without a drop

Spacers without a drop
I have a completely stock 2008 G35xS and I am debating on whether to drop or not. Since I previously came for a 2004 G35 coupe, the sedan just does not look agressive enough to me.
I like the idea of dropping the car a little but seeing some of the inconsistent drop results on the x that I have seen in some of the pictures on this board have me concerned. I also am concerned about the camber issues. I had alot of problems inside front tire wear on my coupe that I could never solve. Impuls would be my prefered drop, but as others have indicated, cost is an issue.
I think this might have been discussed prevously, but I cannot find it. Has anybody tried to put spacers on the stock 18" wheels on an x without actually dropping the car? I was thinking that this might give it a slightly more agressive look without the drop issues. I was also going to switch from the stock 225/50/18 to 245/45/18 for my next set of tires to give it an appearance of a slightly wider stance.
What size spacers do you recommend? Thanks.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I am now down to deciding on whether to get new wheels (likely either M sport wheels circa 2007 or 19" coupe wheels) and keep the height as is or try seeing if spacers will look any good with the stock 18" sedan wheels. As much as I would like to drop, I have not seen a solution on the X that gives me the look I am looking for.
