Ah. Got it. No offense meant by the OEM thing, it's just that BC OEM's for Apexi(?) and Megan and a few other brands, supposedly.

By backwards, i meant how they numbered it in the manual. They consider full-hard to be "0" and full-soft to be "30". It's still the same clockwise/counterclockwise settings as the rest, it's just the numbering that they did backwards.

So, in your case, your 12/10 clicks from full-soft would translate to an 18/20 setting on the BC's (i.e. 30-12, 30-10).

Looking forward to your thread!

Guys, just an update for those interested. I raised my rears up this morning, on the 230mm springs i got it to 27" from the ground to fender line (or roughly 14.5" from fender line to center of hub) -- for me, this equates to roughly 3/4" of a drop for the rears, which is exactly where i wanted it to be!

Should be able to fix the rear alignment without a kit.

No squeaks or rattles to speak of on this end.

Make sure the rear spring upper mount is secured properly to the top OEM clips.

I have the rattles. I'm having my mechanic double check the preload in the rear today. This was the advice I got from BC. They said if it still rattles after, to let them know and they'll probably send me a new set of rear struts.

How long after did you notice the rattles? Been driving on mine about 3 months and so far so good.

umm.. I don't think the noise I hear are rattles... cuz its not like metals rubbing against each other. It squeaks a lot... like... faulty bed spring kinda sound o.O''

i suspect its the springs problem... will take it bak to my mechanic... but just wondering if you guys are experiencing the same problem...

and i actually got the mechanic to weld an extra 5'' extension to my strut so my car can be raised to fully stock height or slammed to the ground
dunno if that would mess up the spring fitment

I noticed the rattles the same night the coils were put on. My mechanic readjusted the preload following the instructions BC gave me, but the rattles didn't go away. I notified BC and hopefully they'll send me a new set of rear struts. There's a bunch of threads on myg37 about the rattles and what people have done to try and correct it.

Thats the exact sound I hear, but just not as constant as yours. I only hear it when I'm driving low speeds, but thats probably because the car is quieter. Contact BC and maybe even send them your sound clip.

Darn, i can see how that squeak can be annoying after a while.

I have about 1k miles on the set-up now, with no issues (cross fingers). Try calling up BC and hopefully they can help you out with it (they're not as fast with e-mails).

mike, i just ordered these coils from a vendor and was not given a choice on the spring rates, are all the BR type coils for our cars 12k front/ 8k rear? i thought i read somewhere else it was 10k/8k.

also, seems like the "optional" 230mm spring is now standard...at least from the vendor i ordered from

I do recall BC (Pete) saying that the 2nd gens should have the 12/8 setup as standard. The 10/8's were meant for 1st gen sedans. In fact i almost got that exact set-up when the order was mixed up through the vendor. Thankfully i was also in contact with BC at that time and they were able to sort it out.

I'm glad to know the 230mm is also standard now, that will surely help address the issues of not having much height (up) adjustments on the rear.

Although, i'm not sure how everyone else is, but even with the 230mm i'm still not able to adjust the rears to near OEM height. I was hoping to be able to do that for DD. Although the max height as it stands is certainly not a deal-breaker -- it is affecting camber slightly, which means a kit is now necessary.

Wow, that would get annoying quickly. It almost sounds like your brake lines are rattling against the shock body. Did you secure all of your brake lines away front he shock when you installed the coils?

Incidentally, what exhaust set-up are you running? Sounds really good!
