Quote: Below is what I want to do with my 2007 G35x. The tire dealer is telling me they don't recommend this. What do you guys think?

Potenza S-04 Pole Position
Max Performance Summer

Size: 245/40R19
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
Load Range: XL
Serv. Desc: 98Y

Verde
Quantum
19x8.5
Finish: Machined w/Matte Graphite Acct
Those two sizes together will toast your AWD unit. A better match would be 225/45/19s & 245/40/19 but still almost 1% variance front to back. A much better combo would be 225/45/19s front 255/40/19 rear, this will give you a much better 0.22% variance. This is a good calculator for checking this

I'd only run this if you have staggered wheels, if not you should run the same tire sizes on all four wheels, especially since you have an AWD.
