My brake rotor woes...

I bot an 07 G35 Sport sedan back in August...with 53k on it, it needed new fronts rotors as they are warped, badly. I figured I would do it right and get 4 new slotted with HPS pads, Motul and lines...

Like a dumbass, I ordered the rotors from eBay...bad move. I ended up sending them back on my nickel ($87) becuase they did not fit (12.5" vs. the 13" for the sport)...back to the drawing board...I called a vendor I know and ordered some Stoptechs...nice! His suppliers forgot to ship them so 2 weeks later, they arrived.

I brought my car to the tech who then proceeded to tell me THOSE rotors were too small as well....another ncie screw up thatr cost me time and more money....

Those rotors went back via pre-paid return...so now I am told that DBA does not have them for the G35 sport and Stoptech's rears are on back order....

I think I'm F'n cursed....I just wnat my brakes to be done....anyone know of where I can get some slotted rotors for my G 35 Sport for a reasonable price shipped in a reasonable amount of time??

R1concept has a good set for a great price for the sports but MAKE SURE that you call them and confirm and reiterate multiple times and ask them to make a note of the fact that you need rotors for the SPORTS model! i had a similar screw up with my ebc long time back and the R1 stepped in and took care of me!

Or...

Get the OEM rotors and swap out your pads instead. The uneven transfer from the pads is what's causing the vibrations. OEM's are very soft and are more prone to this especially if you're a bit aggressive on them.

Yeah I have a new set of HPS ready to go on....The stockers are as much as aftermarket slotted so I think I'm taking that route...

the R1s are SO MUCH better than stock, they last longer and dont warp as quickly as OEM. VERY happy with my D/S R1 rotors for sure.
